THE UNSPOKEN STORIES
THE UNSPOKEN STORIES
We Thought We Were Researching Nightwear.
We were wrong.
When we started speaking with women, we expected conversations about fabrics.
Cotton or satin.
Loose fit or tailored fit.
Full sleeves or short sleeves.
Instead, we found ourselves listening to something completely different.
Stories.
Not the kind people post online.
The kind people share only after they've become comfortable enough to be honest.
The kind that begin with:
"This might sound silly, but..."
And somehow, those were the stories we heard most often.
"The First Thing I Do When I Get Home..."
One woman laughed and said:
"The first thing I do when I enter my room is take my bra off."
Then we heard it again.
And again.
And again.
Different cities.
Different ages.
Different professions.
The same sentence.
For many women, getting home meant finally being able to relax.
Finally being comfortable.
Finally feeling like themselves.
But comfort often came with a compromise.
Comfortable. But Not Completely Comfortable.
Many women told us they preferred not wearing a bra at home.
It felt lighter.
More natural.
More freeing.
But comfort didn't always come with confidence.
A delivery at the door.
A relative dropping by unexpectedly.
A neighbour stopping for a quick visit.
Suddenly, the relaxed version of home didn't feel quite as relaxed anymore.
So they adapted.
They kept a scarf nearby.
Pulled on an oversized jacket.
Added an extra layer.
Changed into something else.
Not because they wanted to.
Because it felt easier than thinking about it.
The Evening Walk That Needed Preparation
One woman told us something we couldn't stop thinking about:
"I spend all day waiting to get comfortable. Then once I'm comfortable, I have to change again before going for a walk."
A simple evening walk.
Five or ten minutes outside.
Fresh air.
A break from the day.
Yet for many women, it wasn't as simple as opening the door and leaving.
It was another outfit change.
Another layer.
Another mirror check.
Another adjustment.
A small inconvenience.
Repeated so often that it became routine.
The Hostel Stories
One student living in a hostel told us she kept an oversized hoodie hanging near her bed at all times.
Not because she was cold.
Because she never knew when she would need it.
Walking down the corridor.
Refilling a water bottle.
Picking up a late-night food delivery.
Meeting a friend in another room.
Small moments that somehow required preparation.
Moments where comfort alone didn't always feel enough.
The House Full of People
Some women spoke about life in busy households.
Parents.
Siblings.
Grandparents.
Relatives dropping in without warning.
Guests who stayed longer than expected.
Nobody made rules.
Nobody explicitly told them what they should wear.
And yet, many women described being constantly aware.
Aware of who was home.
Aware of who might arrive.
Aware of who was around the next corner.
Aware of whether they felt "covered enough."
So comfort became conditional.
Something that depended on who else was in the room.
The Thing That Surprised Us Most
Almost nobody described these experiences as problems.
Women laughed about them.
Joked about them.
Shrugged them off.
"That's just how it is."
But after hearing hundreds of similar stories, we started asking a different question.
What if it didn't have to be?
What if women didn't have to keep adjusting themselves?
What if their clothing did the work instead?
What Women Really Wanted
Not one woman asked us for a revolutionary invention.
Nobody asked for technology.
Nobody asked for something complicated.
What they wanted was surprisingly simple.
To feel comfortable.
To move freely.
To have coverage when they wanted it.
To stop layering unnecessarily.
To stop changing outfits multiple times a day.
To stop thinking about it.
Because the most comfortable clothing isn't something you're constantly aware of.
It's something you forget you're wearing.
So We Built Nayrae
Not from assumptions.
Not from trends.
Not from boardroom discussions.
From conversations.
From hundreds of stories shared across family homes, hostel rooms, apartment balconies, evening walks, lazy Sunday mornings, and ordinary moments that rarely make it into advertisements.
Women told us they wanted comfort.
Women told us they wanted coverage.
Women told us they wanted confidence.
And they didn't want to choose between them.
So we listened.
That's why Nayrae features thoughtfully designed inner pockets for removable pads.
That's why we obsess over soft, breathable fabrics.
That's why every piece is designed around real life, not just beautiful photographs.
Because after speaking with hundreds of women, one thing became clear:
Women didn't need another night suit.
They needed a night suit designed around the way they actually live.
And that's exactly what we set out to create.
💜 NAYRAE
Comfort without compromise. Created from real conversations with real women.
